ARISE Together in Christ

ARISE Together in Christ

Rediscovering the Catholic Faith

What is ARISE?

ARISE Together in Christ is a pastoral offering for the evangelization and spiritual renewal that, over five seasons, unfolds the standards of Christ as they apply to all areas of life. Its scripturally grounded content emphasizes people living in good relationship with one another as they make concrete applications of the Gospel to their life situations.

ARISE Mission Statement

Immaculate Conception Church's "ARISE Tegether in Christ" program has come to exist in order to put our faith into action beyond the Sunday Mass by sharing and growing spiritually together in Jesus' name and bringing evangelization into our homes and to all we meet.

ARISE Poster Campaign: Hey Kids, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

Calling all Young People of ICC Parish. We need your help in getting the word out about the ARISE Together in Christ program.

Immaculate Conception Parish, along with all Monterey Diocese Parishes, will be participating in “ARISE Together in Christ”, a program to help all of us follow JESUS more closely and share his LOVE and WORD with each other. The ICC “ARISE” Team is asking all the young people (all ages or make it a family affair) of ICC Parish to help promote the “ARISE” program by making posters to decorate the hall and bring “ARISE” to life.

Please create a poster using all your imagination and have FUN with it. The word “ARISE” should appear in the poster along with your ideas of who and what GOD means to you.

  • Use any size paper, but no larger than 22” by 28”.
  • Use pencil, crayon, color markers, glue, computer or any media of your choice.
  • Write your Name, Telephone Number and Age on back of poster.
  • Posters may be submitted to ICC Office Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri, 8:30 – 1:00 or call Terry Giannetto 831-245-8666.

A thank you GIFT for each poster submitted!!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

When does the ARISE Togther in Christ program begin?

Work is already underway!  The ICC/TP ARISE Core Team formed in February 2014 and started preparation for Season I that is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2014. Preparation activities include training and recruitment of small faith group leaders, the procurement of materials and getting the word out to all the parishioners so we can be ready to launch Season I  as scheduled in the fall.

You will be hearing more about the program as we get closer to the small group sign ups in the August-September timeframe.

ARISE Seasons
The ARISE program is comprised of five seasons held in the early spring and fall beginning in the fall of 2014 and ending after Lent in 2016.  Each season is six weeks long:

  • Season One (Fall 2014):  Encountering Christ Today reflects on what it means to seek an encounter with Christ through faith sharing.
  • Season Two (Lent 2015):  Change Our Hearts takes place duringh Lent, reflecting on the central call of Ash Wendesday to "conversion", both as "turning away from..." and as "turning toward..."
  • Season Three (Fall 2015):  In the Footstseps of Christ reflects on our fundamental belief that God in Christ chose to walk with us on our path through life and that the risen Christ now walks with us.
  • Season Four (Lent 2016):  New Heart, New Spirit takes place during lent, focusing on the central themes of forgiveness and reconciliation.
  • Season Five (Fall 2016):  We are the Good News! explores how we are called to be the Good News for other people.  We see that evangelization is not something that we do; it is who we are as followers of Christ.
